BIM Implementation & Standards Development

For any organization, switching CAD to BIM is like a changing a tradition. For Implementing BIM the organization have to change entire process and technology.

Xtolec helps you efficient & easy way to switching CAD to BIM platforms. We help you to employing BIM in your organization or any particular project. Our BIM Implementation allows your project team to adopt BIM in faster, simpler, and easier way.
Xtolec able to help you starting from initial stage. At very first stage, we understand your existing set up, Existing CAD standards & protocols, your work pattern and your objectives to implementing BIM.

We create a Revit Template that covers your all-basic requirement for BIM. In your Revit Template, we include Basic template setup, Title Blocks setup, Views setup, Browser setup, all required families & annotation, layers standards for Revit to CAD export, & Revit Server setup.

We also help you for BIM Documentation, which help you to execute BIM project. In BIM Documentation, we include BIM Execution Plan, Folder structure & all Supporting Documents.
The BIM standards, Templates & Documentation developed by our expert engineers & for the training and support, we appoint our engineer in your organization to train client's / project team.

We are following all global BIM standards;

  • National BIM Standards for USA
  • BSI for British standard
  • BIMForum for Singapore standard

NBS Level of Development

LOD 100Overall Building Massing indicative of Area, Height, Volume, Orientation and Location; no other elements such as walls, floors, etc. Information may be assigned to masses as applicable
LOD 200Elements modelled as generalized systems / assemblies, of approximate shape, size, quantity, orientation, location. Information may be assigned to elements as applicable
LOD 300Elements modelled as specific systems / assemblies of accurate shape, size, quantity, orientation, location and relationship to other Elements. Information may be assigned to Elements as applicable
LOD 350Elements modelled graphically represented within the Model as a specific system, object, or assembly in terms of quantity, size, shape, orientation, and interfaces with other building systems. Non-graphic information may also be attached to the Model Element.
LOD 400Elements modelled as specific systems / assemblies of accurate shape, size, quantity, orientation, location and relationship to other Elements, with complete fabrication, assembly and detailing information (sub-contractor / shop dwg level). Other information may be assigned to Elements as applicable.
LOD 500Elements modelled as 'constructed' or 'as-built' systems / assemblies of accurate shape, size, quantity, orientation, location and Relationship to other elements, including any revisions that may have occurred during construction at Site. Customized Parameters related to Facility Management and other information may be assigned to Elements as applicable.

BSI BIM standard

BIM Level 0

  • 2D CAD drafting utilised – no collaboration

BIM Level 1

  • Mixture of 3D concept work and 2D for drafting of statutory approval documentation
  • Electronic sharing of data using a common data environment (CDE)
  • No collaboration between parties but data is shared.

BIM Level 2

  • All parties use their own 3D CAD models, not necessarily working on a single, shared model
  • Collaboration is used. Data is exchanged between parties and design information is shared in a single file format
  • Federated BIM model is created. Each party can combine data with their own in order to make checks.

BIM Level 3

  • Full collaboration between all disciplines by means of using a single, shared project model which is held in a centralized repository.
